I'm trying to get into using DW, but when I'm reading my circle there are names that I just don't recognise.
If your DW name is different to your LJ name, would you mind letting me know* please? Just so my old brain can try & catch up & keep in touch. I don't want to lose friends.

We're home from a fabulous holiday in the USofA. :)
We had a wonderful time but it is good to be home with Bud again.

I'm feeling rather jet-lagged & fuzzy around the edges but am slowly getting back to good old GMT! (Well, +1 for summer time. *g*)
And maybe it's because I'm feeling a bit over-tired but I got back to a 'you've been defriended' notification from LJ & it upset me a bit. I was really surprised to see that this person had defriended me & have no idea why.
So... if anyone does want to defriend* me (& that's fine - I'm not being a special snowflake about it) then please do (just do it now while I'm expecting it. *g*) Thank you!

* A little heads-up. I'm afraid that I won't be uploading eps of H5-O when the new season begins. (If anyone needs the eps then do check out - & join - hawaiifive_0_tv.) So, if you're mainly here for 5-O eps & would prefer to defriend me then I completely understand.  

I will still be uploading Spn as it airs.

I do wish it wasn't called friending/defriending - it sounds so mean. :( That isn't my intention - I'm just trying to keep things manageable. I'm slimlining my comms, & if we don't/haven't ever chatted I'm making a few changes there too.

I get too emotional & let things upset me too much. I know that - & that's my issue.
I suffer from depression (I had to give up a job I loved because of it) & have to be really careful to insulate myself as best I can from things that will upset me. Some people may think that's cowardly but it's a coping mechanism.
I think I'm going to have to spend less time online & use that time for other things.
If we've grown apart (fandoms/interests change - it happens) or you're only here for certain media posts I might make & those posts may now be ending or you really only want to read my fic or look at my art (it's all posted to my archiving lj: starshinedreams) or for any other reason - then please don't worry about removing me from your flist.
The whole word 'friending' (or 'defriending') is such an emotional minefield but think of it as a reading list. If you want to take me off your reading list then I won't be offended. In a similar way I think I have to make some cuts to my own reading list in the next few days - nothing drastic but just to give me some breathing room.

I thought I'd just make a little explanatory post about the fact that I have two ljs & why. I know it's not exactly the same as having two sheds but there you go... ;-)

This is my personal lj where I ramble on about fandom & my running & my beloved dog (though Rascal passed away very recently, he's still with us in spirit. ♥) I very rarely f-lock any of my posts - only those that may contain stuff that I don't want TPTB getting into a snit about (you know what a 'sharing' kind of person I am. *wink wink*)

I started this lj way before the idea of tags came along & so, wanting to keep my fanfic & art easily accessible, I made a separate lj just for them.

Of course, tags have really removed the need for that now but I still post any new fic, etc over there, but always make an announcement here with a link. So if you're interested in my stuff you can always friend that lj too or just wait for the post here & then follow the link.

I'm currently writing & manipping in SGA (McShep) & Hewligan, with the occassional trip down memory lane to LotR RPS (various pairings).
I also have a website which has some of my older stuff too - from The Professionals & other miscellaneous fandoms. Though I do need to update it with my latest SGA stuff (I'm always a bit slow at doing that & so you'll always see my new stuff on lj first.)

Hope that explains everything.

And apropros of nothing ... I find it virtually impossible to listen to this song & not want to grin & dance like a grinnin'dancin'!fool. I ♥ BS.

Okay - I'll stop scaring off the new folk now. ;-)
