I haven't been able to concentrate to write lately & then a totally insistent Danny popped into my head earlier & refused to shut up until I'd written a little snippet.
Just a tiny bit of fun, but it's a start, yeah?

xanthelj has written a fabulous sequel to her wonderful story, 'Andy'. It's called 'Ghosts' & forms a really lovely epilogue. I can totally recommend it.
She also asked me to make some cover art, which I was more than happy to do. :)

On a less positive note, I went to see the doctor this morning. She's given me some antibiotics for now but is a bit stumped as no infection was showing up in my water sample. She's sent it away to the hospital for further testing.
I'm just hoping the antibiotics can sort it out - the symptoms are hellish. :(

I'm trying to keep my mind off them by being creative...

xanthelj has just finished posting her latest story, 'Soul Deep'.
It's an NCIS (Gibbs/DiNozzo) fusion with Philip Pullman's 'His Dark Materials' universe, & it's amazing.

I haven't read the novels (though I have seen 'The Golden Compass') but I don't think you need to as there's an excellent introduction in the author's notes.

I really loved this story, & it swept me up & carried me along until I was sorry to find that I was at the end! :)

Xanthe asked me to make the cover art, which I was more than happy to do *g*, & I've posted the textless versions (there are two) over at my fic & art lj here. You can see the versions with text posted with the story.

I've audienced this story, & it's fabulous - & now I want to re-read HiPS! (oh, the hardship. *g*)
