I missed Ewan's 'The Long Way Round' on Sky One & have been looking for it on dvd but didn't fancy paying the full price (g).
I've just ordered it from tesco.com for £11.50 incl. postage - I don't think that's too bad at all!
Now, if I can just find Billy Connolly's World Tour of New Zealand going cheap or win the bid I've put on a copy on eBay, I'll be over the moon. :-)

Recorded Desperate Housewives last night & am itching to watch it - I am so addicted to this show already, thank goodness it's finally being shown here.
Now we just have to wait for someone to pick up Lost - please!
Oh, & when will we get new CSI please?
Grrrr...I hate how we have to wait for shows to eventually make it across the Atlantic. I mean it's not that far - I'd offer to carry the cans in my suitcase if that would help! ;-)
Speaking of which (in a round about sort of way in my convoluted thought process anyway) - I've just booked up the flights & hotel for next month's annual slashathon at Escapade!!!
Yay!!!
[livejournal.com profile] xanthefic & I are spending a few days in Disneyland prior to the con. I'm so excited 'cus I've booked us rooms at The Disneyland Hotel & it says that we have pixie dust on the ceiling that glows!! (Yeah, I'm easily pleased, I know!)
Plus I adore Disneyland & PotC was always my favourite ride even before Orli made the film. (g)
We have five day passes to both parks but I know I'll be riding Pirates every day (I rode it six times last year & will probably beat that this time!)
Plus there'll be time for shopping, of course!
Then it's meeting up with Ann & off to Oxnard for the con & three days of nothing but slash!!! (And probably more shopping!)
*happy sigh*

Btw - I've finally updated my website with my fic!
I've also uploaded a collated version of Green Glass if anyone doesn't want to wade through individual chapters. Well, it's actually so big that I had to post it in two big chunks here.

'Thank you for being so strong, baby.' Kris to Jon - The Amazing Race (my favourite couple - they're completely adorable together.)

I could manage that. :) What days (as in days of the week as well as days of the month) will you be there? I'm off Sundays thru Tuesdays w/every other Wednesday off....but if I have enough notice I can switch one of them if needed.

Yay - we could meet for lunch or dinner if you like?
I'm not 100% sure what our plans are yet but we arrive late Sat 19th Feb & leave early Thurs 24th.
So that looks like it fits in with your schedule too without you having to switch or anything. :-)

Aw, thank you sweetheart!!

Must admit that I've been very lazy with my site as I'm spending my time writing or on LJ!
I need to do some new manips too - I'm hoping for inspiration in that gorgeous glossy photo book that I bought in London. :-)

I hear ya there, sister!!! *wink* Stupid hubby decided that I can just wait patiently for The Calcium Kid to hopefully be released in the US. Stupid husband. Okay, so it's not a show ... but all the same, it feels like everyone has seen it but me! *wails and feels pathetic*

Oooh ... I hope you have a fabulous time at Disney. I've only ever been to DisneyWorld. Eventually, now that we live on the west coast, I imagine we'll make it to Disneyland. PotC was always my favorite ride, too :)

Remember - I can do you a region 2 one if you've got sorted out to play it yet. :-)
*hugs*

Yeah, it's weird that I loved Pirates so much & then that's the film they make - & with Orlando too!!! LOL

*sigh* Hubby decided I need to learn the value of anticipation ... if he wanted to watch something that he couldn't get here, he'd fix the problem.

*feeling devious*

Must find some way to coerce him into doing this for!!!

Actually, a friend of mine from the UK tells me that you WILL be getting "Lost" over there starting around the last week of January. She thinks it'll be either on Sky or E4. You might want to check into that.

Oh, I do hope that's right! Thank you!
I know SFX mentioned it last month but I can't find any listing for it anywhere.

That answers my Disney question - I know a lot of little useless info I got from the Walk Through Walt's Footsteps Tour (which I recomend!) If you want the useless knowledge, I'll email it to you :)

Oooh, yes please! :-)
I have been quite a few times but it's always good to hear about it all. I really enjoyed the extras on the 3rd PotC dvd disc about building the ride, etc. :-)

Talking about things taking their time to get anywhere... I am watching Hetty Waintropp for the first time! Still, I think we will be getting "lost" sometime this month, too.

Isn't Dom just adorable?
I loved that show - plus I think Pat R is fabulous in anything!

I wish I'd known - I could've copied it for you (though I don't have all the eps.)
