Tech help please?

bluespiritOkay, I have an audio cassette (remember those? *g*) of Viggo reading Jack Kerouac.
I'd like to transfer it to my iPod (& share it online of course!) but don't know how to do it.
Is there some plug-in hardware thing that I can buy that will let me capture the audio & then edit it?
My PC that I use for capturing video is a factory standard with the capture hardware built in as I'm not much of a PC whizz or anything. It only seems to allow video capture, not audio, from what I can see.
Any help would be gratefully received please. :-)
Edit: I think I've sorted it out - thank you, folks! Will update it I can rip the Viggo audio. (g)
