“Here, Maude! Fetch! That’s a good girl.”
Orlando grinned as a blur of silky fur raced past him, chasing after the brightly coloured tennis ball. Walking further into the park he whistled and then laughed as the ball was returned to him, now with a few stray leaves adhering to its damp surface.
Smiling wryly he bent down to pat Maude and stroke her soft ears. A joyful bark was his only warning of the arrival of another, before a pair of strong arms grabbed him securely around the waist.
A well-muscled chest pressed against his back and warm breath gusted across his neck.
“I thought I’d find you here, love.”
Turning within the circle of the arms holding him so safely, Orlando smiled anew.
“*Sean*.”

Notes:~
A short ficlet that I wrote to accompany my photo-manip.
It's just a little snapshot in the life of two of my favourite boys.
This story was written in July 2003.
