When you find out perhaps you can let the rest of us dinosuars know. ;-) All I know is that one of my Twitter friends uses it to crosspost photos. I can't tell if it's another photo site like Flickr or something more.

You don't need an iPhone - it's just a site where you post photos and (usually minimal) text. tumblr.com

Sounds like it's the 'new twitter'. According to the Wiki:

Tumblr is a microblogging platform that allows users to post text, images, videos, links, quotes and audio to their tumblelog, a short-form blog. Users can follow other users, or choose to make their tumblelog private. The service emphasizes ease of use.

My friends who use it seem to like to snag pics from it. It seems to be popular with the SPN/Misha Collins crowd on my FL. I haven't checked it out myself.

Tumbler is this wonderful site where you can post or search for pictures, or vids, or quotes.
Just try it.
But be careful, it's very addictive.
And you don't need to have iphone or any other gadget for it.

I've been on it a few times, I didn't even understand why people consider it useful.

Just a bunch of pictures that you can tag.

More importantly, do I need it? I would say no, but that would be my own answer, I guess you should just try to go there and see for yourself if it's something that you like ?

I've been wondering the same thing. I keep stumbling across it in the Hawaii 5-0 fandom, but still haven't quite gotten the full idea of what is going on there.

The biggest advantage over twitter (I believe, as I am a brontosaurus myself) is that there are more pix and vids. So for someone who does as much with graphic art as you do, it might be worth checking out.
