I've spent a very pleasant few hours looking at & commenting on all of the art over at the [livejournal.com profile] atlantisbigbang. There are some really stunning pieces & so many different kinds of art, including fanmixes & song vids.

Atlantis Big Bang 2010 Artwork (41 works)

I've only had chance to read one story, so far, & a very good read it was.
[livejournal.com profile] tarlanx's 'Distant memories'. If you love her 'Architects of Fate' series then do go & read it - you won't be disappointed. :)

I have several more on my 'to read' list. I must say that this is the first time I've really used AO3 & I like it. The 'download' option is brilliant as it offers a range of formats & the PDF style is perfect for my new iPad (an early birthday prezzie! \o/)
I'm going to continue to upload the rest of my fic to AO3 & have everything in one place.

If you do read a story or view a piece of art that you enjoy then please do try & leave a comment. So much work has gone into this big event & sometimes it's easy to get caught up in how much there is to enjoy. I know as an author (& artist) that even the shortest comment can give me a smile. :)

It's a very cool feature with various formats. Definitely saves time reformatting.

I did, thanks - you know I adore your AoF universe. :)

That's funny, that is the first story I read as well. And it was such a burden too because I had to read the whole series first!! lol

I am going in alphbetical order now because I am anal.

I'm already a fan of Architects of Fate & so was well-prepared. *g*

I'm not planning to read all the stories as I only read slash & only McShep *g*, but it's lovely to see so many contributions. I did enjoy all the art, though, regardless of the genre. :)
Happy reading!

Yeah, I'm definitely an OTPer with these boys. They belong together. ♥ Though, I can read a little bit of McKeller - from an author I trust - when I know that it'll end as McShep.

Is it necessary to read the previous 'Architects of Fate' series? I have every intention of doing so, I just wondered if I could start here.

I am crazy in love with your lj header btw. GUH

AoF is a lovely series, so I'd certainly rec reading it. Although, I think Tarlan explains enough in the latest story that you could follow what's going on. One of the art pieces made for the story gives a lovely visual run down of the cast of characters, too. :)

I have my header rotating, so I don't know exactly which one you mean - but thank you! *g*

Bless you. I've been to AO3 and read stories and never noticed the download button! I realized today that since getting my iPad I haven't printed off a story -- trees everywhere are grateful!

You got the ipad? Me too!

Great, can I ask how you download the PDF and save it to ipad, if you don't mind explaining? -smile-

I use the 'Good Reader' app. You click on that in iTunes & you can load files you've previously saved onto your PC to the iPad that way. Or you can actually browse on the iPad itself using the Good Reader app & download stuff that way. It's a really great app & very cheap - only £0.59 here in the UK. I use it to read all kinds of formats, though PDF is the easiest as it's like turning the pages of a book. :)
