Pony update

It's good news about the pony - the RSPCA were there this morning to try & catch him & take him to safety.
I spoke to one of their inspectors on the phone yesterday, & he had been going up daily to give him food & water (there have been buckets for him this week). Presumably they had to wait until they had the resources or whatever to come & get him.
They think he'd just been dumped in the field - possibly by someone who couldn't afford to keep him anymore. Grrrr - that makes me so angry as you can hand an animal over to a rescue without having to resort to this kind of abandonment.
Anyway - as long as he'll allow himself to be caught - he should be on his way to a happier home right now. ♥
I'm so relieved! :-)
The
sga_art_santa deadline is approaching, & my piece is nowhere ready yet. :-(
I think I'm experiencing creative burnout with all the advent stuff! (24 pieces in such a short space of time is quite a lot! Even though I did start preparing stuff a couple of weeks in advance, whilst trying to write my SGA Santa fic too! *g*)
I can't let my recipient down though & so I'm getting back to it. :-)
Bud is being super supportive by looking adorable sleeping on his office bed by the side of my desk. *g*

Date: 18 Dec 2009 02:01 pm (UTC)Aww about your trying to finish the SGA art for sga_art_santa :(
I haven't even started on my secret santa piece for SGU - ughh...AND I think I'm coming down with the flu! Yikes!
But your daily SAG Advent cheers me up, so that's a good thing! ~grins~

Date: 18 Dec 2009 02:17 pm (UTC)You amaze me at the amount of wonderful fannish goodness you've been turning out lately. I haven't had time to read and enjoy it all. I hope to go back through your journal soon and do just that. Just popped in to say that seeing the cute and colourful McShepguin icons are so cheery and welcome every day. ♥
Good luck with the latest project!

Date: 18 Dec 2009 03:59 pm (UTC)Bloody people make me so mad....even though it's a living creature their lack of feeling towards them just beggars belief *grumbles* It's a good thing there are folk like you who care *hugs*

Date: 22 Dec 2009 10:18 am (UTC)I was so worried about him & am just so relieved that the RSPCA have picked him up.
I spoke to the inspector & he said the pony would be checked out by their vets & then they'd find a place for him.
*hugs*

Date: 19 Dec 2009 12:58 am (UTC)The Advent goodies are such a great idea, I've loved the short fics you've written. But, I have to ask, why John and Rodney Penguins? I don't get the significance of that.
Can't wait to read your SGA Santa fic!! Give Bud a cookie---he's adorable!

Date: 22 Dec 2009 10:23 am (UTC)I think that it's just one of those fannish things. :-) There have been stories written by quite a few authors with the boys being turned into penguins, or cats or whatever! LOL I just thought it would be fun to draw them too. *g*
My SGA Santa fic may (or may not *g*) have been posted over at the comm - they're anonymous until Jan 1st. *g*
I've finished my art piece for the SGA Art Santa & they will be posted from 26th Dec! \o/
