Thank you again to everyone who nominated & voted for my stories & art!
And just a great big *hugs* for SGA fandom & all the wonderfully creative folk out there sharing fic, art & vids - & their love of the boys!

On a totally different subject - I reported a stray horse to the RSPCA earlier. Well, I think he's a stray. He appeared yesterday in a field that Bud & I pass through every day on our way to the woods.
He's got no food or water & that field isn't used for keeping horses - the gate is always left open (for access to a cottage) & he could get onto the road. He looks alert enough, but I didn't want to wait until he was distressed. The lack of water was really worrying me because even if he can maybe find something to eat in the field there's no water source.
I didn't want to seem like a busy-body but I was worried yesterday & then when he was still there this morning - with no sign of having been tended to - I thought it best to do something. If he is there legitimately then the people who own him should at least give him some proper food & water!
I spoke to a very nice lady at the RSPCA who took all the details.
I do hope he'll be okay.

Date: 10 Dec 2009 05:04 pm (UTC)Yeah, I ummed & ahhed but decided it was best to do something. I worry he'll get onto the road or is thirsty or hungry. :-(

Date: 10 Dec 2009 12:43 pm (UTC)I hope the horse will be ok soon: there's something not right if a horse can get around alone like that, I mean, even in our country side, you have to have a fence around the field or something! o_O

Date: 10 Dec 2009 01:25 pm (UTC)It's good yiou reported the horse - better to wonder about his welfare than worry about sticking your beak in. I'd do the same and if the owners are responsible they should appreciate that you reported it.

Date: 10 Dec 2009 04:13 pm (UTC)And ♥ to you for reporting that poor horse. Most people find stray cats or dogs. You found a large stray horse. *g*

Date: 10 Dec 2009 05:09 pm (UTC)Yeah, trust me to find a stray that I can't actually bring into the house & help!
I do hope he'll be okay - I'll check tomorrow & see if he's still there.

Date: 11 Dec 2009 11:30 am (UTC)I can't understand why people don't hand their animals over to a shelter if they find they can't look after them anymore.
