Going to the dogs! *g*

Next month, me & Mr B are running in the Royal Parks Half Marathon in London.
We always run to support charities close to our hearts, & this time we're trying to raise funds for a very special organisation - the Labrador Rescue: South East & Central.

This is the wonderful rescue who brought our beautiful baby Buddy to us! ♥
It's run completely by volunteers who rehome over one Lab a day, as well as fostering, & paying for medical treatment for abandoned dogs (check out the website for lots more info about the amazing work they do.)
Although new owners are asked for a donation it still costs the LRSEC over £270 to rehome every dog, & so we've set ourselves that as a target. Hopefully we can raise enough to help rehome one needy dog.

In other news, I'm off to visit xanthelj tomorrow, & we're going to see John Barrowman in 'La Cage Aux Folles' - yay!
Unfortunately this does mean that I'm leaving pretty early in the morning & so I won't be able to do 'that thing' that I usually do on a Friday.
*cough*
Sorry to anyone who relies on me for 'that thing' - I'll do it on Monday.

Have a GREAT weekend! I recently committed to running my first 5 K in December (what was I thinking??) so I can pretend I know what doing a half-marathon is like. :-)

Yay you for doing a 5K. I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun - just think of it as 3.1 miles (it sounds a lot shorter! *g*)
