Catching up

Phew! What a busy few days - it's been a while since I posted. Good busy though - so I'm not complaining. :-)

Mr B & I had an asbolutely wonderful time last weekend attending the wedding renewal of vida_boheme & Mr V_B!
It was the most beautiful, moving ceremony, & I was crying as soon as the processional started ('May it be' from LotR sung by a choir) & Finn came walking down the aisle looking so beautiful.
It was such a great experience, made even better by getting to share it with some LJ friends. It was lovely to finally meet the_cephalopod (& Mr the_cephalopod), orandream, tipsywitch (& Mr Tipsywitch) & lysambre.
Yay!

Mr & Mrs the_cephalopod also popped around to meet Buddy which was lovely, & we had such a smashing time!

In other news, I've finished the edit/polish on the first draft of my SGA Big Bang story & that is now away having its first beta. I'm not going to look at it again until we get home from our holiday! Speaking of which, I've been busy getting everything sorted out as we fly to the US on Monday morning for sixteen glorious days of not-sure-where-we'll-end-up road-tripping! Woot!

I haven't been reading any fanfic while I was working on my BB, so now I want to load my eBook up with everything that I've missed for the last eight weeks so that I can read on the plane, etc.
Please do tell me if there's anything that I really need to read. Gimme some McShep recs please! ♥

Florida - a long promised present to the kids, and we decded that (healthwise) it was really now or never :D I'm excited and a bit scared as I haven't travelled for a long time.
