[livejournal.com profile] sga_santa sign ups are open! Yay! I had so much fun last year that I've signed up again.
I think that my fic - Coffee cups - for last year's exchange is my favourite/best of all my SGA stuff & so I'm hoping that this year's request will push me too.
Anyhoo - go & sign up, folks! *g*

Speaking of writing, here's my heads-up for last month.

SGA (all McShep)

Fic
Good times
Much of anything
Out on the wind
King size

Art
Threat assessment
True kiss

~

And last, but not least - happy birthday, [livejournal.com profile] yarnaddict - I hope you have a really lovely day!

I wish there were a general SGA holiday exchange thing that weren't just fic- or art-related. IDK, I like being able to request lots of different kinds of things, and also having a lot of different kinds of requests to choose from (depending on whether I'm more in the mood for writing or vidding, etc.).

But maybe I'll still sign up, IDK. :-/

Maybe you could start an exchange comm that caters more for what you want?

Alas, good idea, but I do not have the time to organize something like that. *shrugs* Oh well, I'll still think about signing up for ~one~ of them.

Yay for [livejournal.com profile] sga_santa! It's kinda scary getting your request, but also good as it pushes you to try out different things. I'm glad you signed up too! cep xxx

Yeah, I know what you mean. I got a bit stressed out at first last year (my recipient is a pretty well known writer) & then I thought that I can just do my best, have fun & write!
Yay - I saw you'd signed up again too!

Well Cep sent me the link (in her own, quietly devious way) and so I got totally sucked in to signing up as well! I am a total sucker for that time of year in general--it is the only time I truly let my sappy side have full rein. I bake cookies and watch Christmas movies and take long walks in the frosty woods, hoping for some snow.

I'm a little nervous about what I might get sent my way, but I like the idea of being made to stretch a little! Besides, I'v e become addicted to the idea of writing to prompts...

So yay! The more the merrier, because it's Christmas you know!

Heh - cep has so got your number! ;-)
I love Christmas too. ♥
I took part in the SGA Santa last year & it was really great - I like the sense of camaraderie. It definitely helped to stretch me as a writer too & I was really happy with the story I produced (I kind of think it's the best SGA fic I've written. *g*)
I'm so, so happy that you're taking part! *squee* More Madison fic! Yay!

I LOVE the Christmas icon here!!

Like I need that much encouragement to write--more like I need the equivalent of kaopectate for the written word. :-)

But I could very much use the stretching, I think and I'm going to enjoy reading the offerings. I loved your piece from last year and Cep's too! *happy sigh*

Ah, I remember both now--I loved how Rodney had his prorities right when it came to what he was the proudest of having accomplished! :-)

I will write more--and soon! Cep and I are taking turns writing sections of a joint WIP and the ball is in my court at the moment...

Oh yes, Cep's Now and Then was a great story!
