Hydroactive Challenge

I ran the Hydroactive Challenge yesterday in Birmingham. This was my 5th year & yet again we had lovely weather!
I'm rather chuffed to have done a PB for the 5K course, finishing in just under 28 minutes. But more importantly, I was running to raise money for The Blue Cross, which is one of the UK's oldest pet charities.
Mr B, my Mom & the fabulous cheerleading
lantean_drift came along with me & we had a great morning. A big thank you to them for their sponsorship & encouragement.
As always, Rascal took charge of my medal... *g*
Here are a few more pics of my beautiful boy, playing with one of his favourite toys - Scary Little Kitty, a present from his Auntie
xanthelj!
action shot! *g*
There's a tale behind the naming of Scary Little Kitty. It makes a 'meeowing' sound when you squeeze its tummy. Well, for some reason this upsets Rask - he seems to think it's hurt & tries to lick it better.
But I can't hide the toy because he absolutely loves it! So we just hope that he doesn't set the noise off & if he does, we have to do lots of reassuring. *g*
Oh, I love him but he's such a big old silly boy! LOL

How goes the treatment? I think the last time we talked at length, Rascal was having some problems.

Date: 18 Sep 2007 01:01 pm (UTC)He's doing a lot better, thanks, sweetheart. The tablets are a pro-active thing to try & strengthen his bladder wall to prevent further infections. *crossed fingers* So far, things have gone really well with him.
*hugs*

Date: 19 Sep 2007 09:26 am (UTC)It's strange (as I was never sporty at school) but I actually like to run. I know I'll never be the next Paula Radcliffe or anything, but it's fun. *g*
Yes, Rask always looks so regal in his medals. Then he's rolling around being silly & definitely not regal at all! LOL
