Charity auction pimp

There are only a few days left if you want to bid on some really cool stuff over at the David Hewlett Birthday Auction as it closes on Saturday (3rd April). All money raised goes to DHew's favourite charity - the excellent 'Doctors without Borders'.

There are lots of items with no bids at all or just the opening bid, so it looks like there are some bargains waiting to be snapped up. A lot of the items have free delivery too as the donor is offering to pay postage costs.

I think a few people were put off as the auction site requires you to register in order to bid. I found it really easy, & you can just ignore the part where they ask for 'direct payment' details - you don't need to provide that as all the winning payments go via justgiving anyway. the4ts has added some stuff to the FAQs here if you want further clarification.

As a reminder, I'm offering to write a story for the auction. Here's the blurb:

MSF63 - One SGA slash story (McKay/Sheppard) by Bluespirit. The story will be a minimum of 2,000 words, prompted by the winner, and be exclusive to the winner for 1 month. The author is happy to write in one of the universes/series that she has already established or to write a stand alone story. The author writes a variety of genres: romance, humour, hurt/comfort, angst, AUs or Atlantis-based, first times or established relationship - with a rating of G to NC-17. (No death fic or hardcore BDSM.) The author hopes to have the story completed within three months (muses willing! *g*)
