Cancer Research 10K race

I ran in the Cancer Research UK 10K event at Weston Park yesterday.
Last year my wonderful Dad had been there cheering me along - this time I ran in his memory & had his picture on my running vest. It's only been three weeks since our world became a dimmer place & so I did get a little teary as I ran the course. But I wanted to do it for my Dad & to help raise money so that hopefully one day no one else will be lost to this terrible disease.
Thank you so much to everyone who sponsored me & helped support this vital charity. This link goes to my fundraising page, if anyone did want to sponsor me online, thank you. ♥
And because it's tradition - here's a pic of Rascal modelling my medal.

Date: 23 Oct 2006 06:32 pm (UTC)Glad your run went well! Very cool, that you had dad's picture on your shirt--I'm sure he was cheering for you and that he's proud of you for running, even though it was sad.
I was so sorry to hear about your dad. *hugs you tight*
