I haven't been around much lately - partly due to real life but I've got to admit that I've also been ridiculously affected by the news about SGA. I know some people would say it's 'just a TV show' (though not many reading this I'm sure!) but I'm actually devastated that it's been cancelled - especially as I've found that season 4 & now 5 have just been getting better & better. The fact that SciFi cancels it & in the next breath announces this SGU thing is also like a kick to the gut.
How can we have a brilliant, amazing ep like 'The Shrine' & yet TPTB think the show has no future?
Actually that's all rhetorical - I don't feel able to even debate this in my own head let alone rationally outloud! I can't be dispassionate about this. I've had shows cancelled before but it's never been like this for me - I am so emotionally invested in Atlantis & the boys & the team & I'm even loving Woolsey this season! I've always lived a lot in my own head & have done so even more since I got ill a few years back, these characters are important & mean so much.
I'm just so angry & aggrieved but ultimately so very, very sad.
Okay - this has pretty much been incoherent, sorry. I have some happier stuff to talk about but I'll post separately later on.
