Odds & ends

Some me stuff so please feel free to skip ahead if you'd like.
Well, I went for a six mile run yesterday that I loved - I felt really invigorated, even though it did pee down on me the entire way round. Then I went & did my one bit of sale shopping that I'd been looking forward to. I got a new pair of running shoes ready to break them in before the Half Marathon in March. I was really chuffed to not only get the ones that I wanted but to get them with twenty quid off! Yay! They're a pair of red/silver Nike Air Pegasus & I love them. And no, I didn't buy them 'cus they're called Pegasus (I do actually need them to help with my supination) but I will admit that I'm now referring to them as my Nike McSheps! (g)
I've had a slowly growing list of fannish things that I've wanted to get done for myself & for friends over the last couple of weeks but it's been difficult with it being the holiday time.
So Mr B started back to work today after his hols & it's a rest day in my running schedule so I had loads of plans of getting caught up on some stuff - like lj & email plus the beta I'm currently doing for a very long suffering & wonderful
pirate_hussies (it's nearly done, angel! Edit: Done & emailed!!). Plus I'm working on some graphics for the fabulous & very patient
xanthelj & wanted to get on with them. But somehow I seem to have managed to do virtually nothing. It's like suddenly having all this time to myself has left me running around not knowing what to do first! I know, what am I like? ;-) (Though I have ordered a new sport bra from Booby Doo. *g*)
So, sorry folks - I will get caught up, I promise - I'm trying to work my way through that to-do list & just felt like I needed to explain why I'm being so rubbish at answering emails & everything at the mo!
Oh, while I'm here - thank you so much to
nieninque121 &
celtprincess13 for the lovely cards!

I caught a little bit of the Stargate Real Science thing on Sky One last night & was quite enjoying it until all the tapeworm stuff. Yuck! So Mr B flicked it over to catch a football score on Sky Sports & mysteriously it didn't seem to get flicked back again. (g)
And another pic of my baby. He's wearing his special Xmas collar (with little snowmen on it) & is standing on the chair (which he isn't supposed to!) & keeping a watch on what's going on outside. ♥

Date: 4 Jan 2006 08:06 am (UTC)TV highlights - don't forget that Life on Mars with the very talented John Sims begins soon. About a cop who wakes up and finds he's travelled back in time to the 1970s. For people "of a certain age" I think this is gonna be great fun.
*hugs for the lovely Rascal* I wanna squidge him, so I do.
Tons of love.

Date: 4 Jan 2006 08:37 am (UTC)I'm very impressed by your 6 mile run. I can't even envisage doing something like that although I did run well this morning and feel pleased with myself even if my run was a lot shorter than yours! But I lengthened my route a bit and towards the end I felt I'd got into quite a nice rhythm.
I'm sure once you switch back to everyday mode after being in "holiday" mode you'll get caught up :-)

Can he and Bleu make puppies?
Because they'd be the cutest puppies EVAH.
Good on you for the running.
I've been pushing to do Tae Bo for the last month and it really had made a difference.

Date: 9 Jan 2006 12:45 pm (UTC)Hee I bet he would.
There are days when I wish we hadn't gotten Ms. Bleu snipped and Rascal's cuteness brought one of those one.
