Home again plus fic

So, we're home from the Highlands & Islands. :-)
We had a wonderful holiday & I'll post a few pics later when I feel brighter.



Why am I feeling down?
Because I really should know better & don't handle rejection well. Meh.
I applied to join a fic challenge comm a while ago & the 'your application has been rejected' email was waiting for me when I got home. I don't know why, presumably they didn't think my writing was up to much.
So there you go & like I say, I should know better.

I have come home from holiday with a couple of romantic VigOrli fics planned out & full of enthusiasm for LtHEA but I think that I'll wait until I shake this blue mood off first!
In the meantime this demanded to be written. I think that it's sort of like free therapy.

Are those people crazy?! Your writing is excellent - I very much doubt there are many other people in the fandom writing such consistently well written stories and the amount of feedback you get speaks for itself. Maybe there was another reason your application was rejected (eg they're full up and can't take more people or something) because I refuse to believe it could be the quality of your work.

Big hugs - I hope you're not down about this for too long. You're a very good writer - I've told you so before and I MEAN it!

I had hoped that my writing was of a decent enough standard to be considered but they obviously have their criteria. I don't believe the comm was full as I noticed a couple of other people had been given invitations to join.
Never mind, I'll just keep on with my stuff. The holiday did give me one particularly nice V/O idea that I want to write soon & even a TPM fic that I may write one day! :-)

And thank you again - I do hope I didn't sound too pitiful! I didn't mean to - it was just that putting my disappointment into words really did seem to help.

I'm not sure how confident I feel about tackling TPM to be honest - though the idea I have is actually a historical romance not a Jedi-based thing. (g)

Well, you should just go for it - I'll be here to help if you need someone to look it over or talk it over with. I know it'll be lovely because I know you're a very good writer :-)
