Princess Buttercup

bluespiritSorry this is a bit late, but here's my completed Princess Buttercup dress that I made for my cousin's 40th birthday fancy dress party a couple of weeks ago.
It was an excellent learning experience & I'm pretty pleased, considering it's the first item of clothing that I've ever made! *g*
I also made Mr B's Dread Pirate Roberts costume. I bought an oversized black dress shirt & gathered the shoulders & cuffs & also added laces to the front. I then made his eye mask, bandana & cumberbund.

We had a really great time at the party. It was lovely to see so many people in costume & getting into the spirit. There was a photo booth there, too, & everyone had a lot of fun with that. My feet were so sore from dancing all night, but that was a small price to pay for such a fab night! ;)

Grandpa: Are you kidding? Fencing, fighting, torture, revenge, giants, monsters, chases, escapes, true love, miracles...
Grandson: Doesn't sound too bad. I'll try to stay awake.
Grandpa: Oh, well, thank you very much, very nice of you. Your vote of confidence is overwhelming.
The Grandson: They’re kissing again. Do we have to read the kissing parts?

Miracle Max: “True love is the greatest thing in the world. Except for a nice MLT: mutton, lettuce, and tomato sandwich, where the mutton is nice and lean, and the tomato is ripe. They’re so perky, I love that.”
Westley: I told you I would always come for you. Why didn't you wait for me?
Buttercup: Well... you were dead.
Westley: Death cannot stop true love. All it can do is delay it for a while.
Buttercup: I will never doubt again.
Westley: There will never be a need.
