I enjoy your Buddy photos - these today remind me very much of walking a friend's dog (who looked vaguely similar) on the beach here. I hope you enjoyed it all as much as we enjoyed our walks.
We really did - it's always lovely to get away & especially if there's a beach for Bud. He does love the sea. This time he was busy trying to drag big strands of kelp about. *g*
We're planning to fly to Inverness and stay in that area for a few days. I think there's quite a lot to see around there and it's fairly close to The Highlands, plus I want to pop and visit a friend. Early October is the plan. :-)
Lovely! Do visit Culloden - it's just outside of Inverness & they do excellent guided walking tours of the battlefield. Fort William is a good base for exploring the Highlands, too, if you were thinking of moving on from Inverness at all. There are lots of nice B&Bs, etc. We've stayed there a few times. Glenfinnan is simply gorgeous (my icon) with the Bonnie Prince Charlie monument on the shores of Loch Shiel. (It's Duncan MacLeod's birthplace - from Highlander! *g* - & also has the Harry Potter railway, if you're into HP. :)
Apologies, I thought I'd replied to this and then found I hadn't.
Thanks for all the recs of places to go. We're only going for a few days so probably won't be moving on but I'll bear Fort William in mind for the next trip. :-)
Buddy looks like he had a good time and is now home and pooped out...LOL
Looks like you had a great time walking the beach is it? In the top picture what is that far off thing in the distance? Looks like a huge rock? You guys have the longest looking beaches I have ever seen.
