bluespiritMy thoughts about this week's ep - some think-y, most squeeful, definitely Steve/Danny-skewed - plus some flailing at the pretty. :)
+ The Team is so serious & pretty as they get ready to take Wo Fat down.
+ Heh. Poor Jenna. Steve is totally her big brother & there's no way he's letting her go in there. So he cuffs her to the car. Of course he does - he's Steve!
+ Thigh holsters. Kevlar. Chin with his big gun. Oh, yeah - works for me! Rowr!
+ Steve! All disoriented by the bomb blast - for like a second & then he's back in business! \o/ SuperSEAL FTW!
+ Jenna breaks the door handle. Smart!
+ I'm not sure it makes much sense for Steve to go in alone, but he's being all prowly & gorgeous & focussed & all 'M gonna catch the man who killed my father, rawr!' so I really don't care. *g*
+ Sang Min?! Love Steve's WTF face. *g* (I was actually cheering to see Sang Min, &, yeah, I know he's a no-good dirty human trafficker & all around bad guy, but it's just so good to see him again! LOL)
+ Mmmm, Steve...
+ Woah! Jenna just hit him with a car!
+ Awww, protective! Danny. 'Stay here. Please.' Love that little 'please'. ♥
+ Shouldn't Danny wait for back up? Heh - he's been hanging around with Steve too long. ;)
+ 'Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't there a car attached to you?' Oh, Steve! LOL and then Jenna's 'Oh, weird' comeback is just awesome! (I'm liking Jenna so much!)
+ Oh! The way Steve races over to Danny! *meep*
+ Danny! He looks so scared & the way these two exchange looks. *meep meep meep* Their faces...
+ 'Stay with me, Danny!' *flails* Hurt/comfort meter goes off the scale!
+ Steve! Running behind the gurney! *meep*
+ Thank goodness Jenna (conveniently - but this is TV so, yeah *g*) knows it's sarin poisoning!
+ Steve's face when she says Danny will die! Noooo!
+ OMG! Steve's face when he's telling them that Danny's going to pull through. I swear he's fighting back tears. *meep* (Plus - added eyelashes! \o/)
+ LOL Jenna babbling away when Steve's trying to say thank you. Steve's face!!! ♥
+ And then when he does get to say it... ♥
+ Steve goes to get Gracie! \o/ I was hoping this would happen since seeing the trailer last week! Yes!
+ 'Uncle Steve'! \o/ (I suppose 'StepSteve' would have been a little too much to ask for. *g*) Oh, he's so sweet with her! ♥
+ Steve & Gracie waiting in the hospital!
+ random 'Steve is pretty while talking on the phone' moment...
+ This whole scene! It's just... just... *flails* (seriously, did a fanfic writer script this ep? *g*) I mean their faces & the looks & the whole domesticity. And Steve says Grace can stay with him & just... ♥ to infinity!
+ Oh, Chin! Trying to cover for his uncle. This plan is doomed to end badly. :( He does suffer beautifully though. And poor worried!Kono. *meep*
+ Heh! Loved the way Jenna caught the lie. And Steve's face! \o/ Steve approves. *g*
+ random 'Steve is pretty while standing in front of a window' moment...
+ KAMEKONA! \o/ 'Jersey' 'Big Dog'! Hee! I just love this whole scene. And Danno - working even while he's in hospital!

+ Okay, Rachel. More on this later.
+ Oh, Chin! The plan that was doomed to end badly ended badly. :( I feel bad for Chin's uncle, but I'm so relieved Chin's name is finally cleared!
+ I assume that Jenna's working in Danny's office - there's a photo of Gracie plus a framed child's drawing on the desk.
+ random 'Steve is pretty while realising a car is heading towards him' moment...
+ random 'Steve is pretty while being a total bad ass' moment...
+ Oooh, pretty blue light in the interrogation room again.
+ Okay. Danny holding Rachel. Danny looks out of it on meds. Still processing - more later. Steve's face though. *heart is breaking*
+ random 'Steve is pretty whilepondering the Wo Fat case being sad because his boyfriend was cuddling his ex-wife' moment...
+ So. Rachel & Stan's marriage is on the rocks. I can understand Danny still having feelings for Rachel - they have a child together - but somehow, I doubt being there on the rebound for Rachel is going to work out in the long term. I think Danny wants more than Rachel will probably be able to give.
Of course, this is TV, so who knows?
I knew we'd never get actual canon Steve & Danny (though Steve's reactions this ep - more on that below - are pretty damn close!) but I just hope TPTB don't push a Danny & Rachel reconciliation. I'm glad that they're friendlier now than at the beginning of the season, but I don't want any more than that. (Well, obviously - cus I'm a total Steve/Danny slasher. *g*) Mind you, the spoilers for the finale say someone's going to die. I wouldn't put it past them killing off Rachel after dangling this possible happy ending for Danny. (What they think is happy of course - not to us slashers. *g*) I hope they don't do that though - I like Rachel now she's not being all unreasonable over custody, etc.

'Was I ever? You know, we have become very close.'
something I can't make out clearly & then 'We've gotten very close? One near death experience & you go warm & cuddly on me?'

And then they hug! A huge, fabulous, awesome hug! But that convo & the way Steve looked! *flails*
I know it can be read various ways - guys joking around, etc - but he actually looked pretty upset (& jealous. I'm going with jealous. *g*)
+ Sang Min! Worst. Timing. EVER, dude!!
Phew! Wow, so that was an emotional rollercoaster of an ep Steve/Danny wise. We got so much lovely h/c goodness & a Steve obviously totally in love with Danny but then the complication of Rachel. Personally, I don't think anything has actually happened between Danny & Rachel up to this point (Rachel was away with Stan on a 'save the marriage' thing & I don't think she'd do that if she was being unfaithful. I also can't see Danny being a man who would sleep with another man's wife.)
So, we now need some good fixit fic where Rachel realises that she's going to Danny more out of familiarity & comfort than a real desire to reconcile. Danny will be hurt, but Steve will be there to pick up the pieces. ♥
