+ Mr B & I had a fabulous weekend away seeing the amazingly pink & sparkly Miss Kylie Minogue in her 'Aphrodite' tour.
It was absolutely phenomenal (even better than the 'X' tour imo.) It was such a joyous spectacle &, despite having seats way up in the gods & wondering if we needed to be staked down for fear of falling, we got up & danced the night away.
An awesome, awesome evening! \o/

+ Just a quick heads-up if anyone wants to subscribe to my stuff over at AO3.

I'm faviconbluespirit. (You'll need to log in to see the subscribe button.)

I'm adding my current new stuff as I post & am sloooowly adding my earlier stuff, too. So far it's just SGA & H5O. I'm not sure if I'll archive my Lotrips & even earlier fandoms - though possibly (just for completeness. *g*)

I love the download feature at AO3 - it's so easy to snag fic as PDFs & read them on my iPad without all the hassle of copy/paste/reformat-ing. :)

+ So, the SGA-SGU crossover ep with Rodney & Woolsey? Should I watch/skim? Is there any character bashing or canon developments that are going to make me wear a sad face?

+ I'm very excited - I've won two [livejournal.com profile] help_japan auctions: a story from my angel, [livejournal.com profile] lantean_drift & a song vid from the talented [livejournal.com profile] ciaimpala!
\o/

+ Speaking of excited... ;) Oh my - the latest shots of Alex & the additions he's had made to his tats! Fnnngh!

The way it's curling around his side like that just makes me lose coherent thought...

It looks like the original tat has been overinked or reworked into something new. A Pacific island design? (I know next to nothing about tattoos, so I'm just musing here.)
I'm not sure if I like it as much as the original - though I'll reserve judgement until we, hopefully, see it all. *g*

Also. Why don't I see guys like that when I'm out running? ;)

+ Speaking of which... I think (& hope & pray) that I've finally managed to get my knee back up to running fitness after my surgery last year. I've tried to run several times over the months, but I've always had a limp & so have stopped (to avoid furthur injury.) But I ran for 10 mins (yeah - not exactly a marathon *g*) yesterday & was limp free! \o/
I'm going to try one of my favourite routes later & see how I get on. Hopefully, I can get back to race fitness & maybe think about signing up for an autumn half. *fc*

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!
*hugs*

That puddle on the floor? Would be me drooling.

And yay for the lack of limp!

Oh YUM. When did that happen?! I wonder if he had it done in one day, it's a biggie. There must be fic brewing somewhere to explain this!

When I first saw these pics, my brain went completely off the rail. YOWZA! And that new ink on his back! I'd love to see the full design. ;-)

Glad you had such a wonderful time and good on you for starting up the running again! \o/

There are two theories as to why we don't see guys like that when we're out running:

1) It's God looking out for us, because we'd surely stumble and fall and break something if that ran past.
2) People that pretty just aren't real.

I'm not sure which I think is more likely... it's about tied.

Alex is a sweet bitch, a tease to run like that, a lovely temptation lol !
And yeah watch SGU 'cause our Rodney and Woosley are gorgeous and the others are nothing, just some bugs, really, the TPTB had made the error of the century.. anyway, stay calm Marie-Line, breathe... :-)

Re: the SGA/SGU crossover- I have to admit, I liked it. I wasn't expecting to, given my complete non-reaction to the first five episodes before I gave up on the series last year.

I would love to say we got a even a hint of SGA canon, but...nothing. I don't know how they managed to avoid mentioning ANYTHING Atlantis related, but they did. It did not come off as "THERE IS NO ATLANTIS, WHAT ARE YOU ON?" though. They simply didn't mention it.

No character assassination to speak of, either. With both Woolsey and Rodney, they were treated with respect and given seniority in their fields. Yes, Rodney gets caught looking at someone's chest (they're at eye level and right in front of him, *I* would look), but otherwise Rodney is...he's a Rodney that has seven years of active gate experience. He's competent if snarky, and in the end he is the calm voice of reason even when there are a number of guns pointed at him. (ETA: Okay, reading back over, "calm voice of reason" doesn't sound right. More like "voice of person that has been in this situation too many times to count, it is boring at this point, and should be listened to because it is the voice of the smartest person in the room." Or something.)

They left my head canon unjossed, and they didn't hurt characters I love. I'd say it's safe to watch. :)

FNNNNNNNGH indeed!!!! I'm developing a serious kink for tattoos...

\o/ to a healthy knee :D

There are no guys like that here either. But, to be fair, they would be a not so becoming shade of blue due to the cold if they were to follow Alex' example in attire...*ggg*

I saw Oyster Farmer again last night...Fnnnngh squared.

I love those pics of Alex. I have to say, I live in L.A. and even I don't see guys like that out jogging. NNNNGUH!

I have several tats myself and have a HUGE kink for them. I'm also fascinated by the process people go through when choosing what to mark their body with. I'd love to *ahem* study the rest of AOL's tattoo to get an idea of what he was thinking. *g*

That man makes tattoos look so dang SEXY! *rawr*

Yay for running 10 minutes!!! *cheers*

Can you imagine seeing that run past you?!!! Rowr!

Yeah, just did 30 mins limp-free - though a tight quad is causing a slight issue with my knee cap, I think. (This was the thing I had surgery for in the first place... *grumble*) Hopefully, I can stretch it out.

Yeah, it must be fairly recent, & it looks like a lot of work. I'm surprised he didn't wait until shooting was done - it must have been difficult to fit this in with the hectic schedule.

I think we definitely need to see the full design - to form an... *cough*... objective opinion... ;)

The knee just held up for 25 mins limp-free - but it looks like there's a quad issue I need to work on or else I'll be back to where I was before the surgery. *sigh*

This is enough to make me take up running. :-)

[personal profile] margec01 kindly told me that "Seizure" was 'safe to watch', knowing what my criteria would be. I have to admit, having McKay back for even a little while is enough incentive to make me break my rule and watch it. When is another question altogether...

Yay for being able to run again!

Thank you so, so much. This is exactly what I needed to know. I am so relieved they haven't jossed Atlantis canon or rebooted Rodney or made a fool out of him, etc, etc, etc (& yeah, I have so much faith in TPTB, as you can see. *g*)
I'll watch. :)

Oh, Oyster Farmer! \o/ Now I need to watch it again, too. *g* I have a completely ridiculous amount of love for that film & have already lost count of the number of times I've watched it. Dear, sweet Jack. ♥

Yeah. I could be totally wrong, but this new tat looks more meaningful than the one it's covering/enhancing. It looks like there'd be a significance to it, whereas the previous one was perhaps just an interesting/cool design. (Just my guess, of course.) :)

Yeah, 10 minutes doesn't feel like much when I've run marathons, so I'm having to be very strict with myself about building up the time on my feet slowly. I did 25 mins this afternoon. ;)

Bud was 'helping' me with my stretches. The help was mainly him rolling around the floor getting in the way & then lying on me when I had to lie on the floor. LOL
