News flash! Buddy is actually more gorgeous than yesterday. :-)

Thank you so, so much for all the hugs & warm wishes - I will be answering them all as soon as I can but I'm kind of caught up in the Budster right now, as I'm sure you can understand. *g* But I really do appreciate every single comment!
*hugs you all*
I just wanted to drop in & post a few more pics. *g*
Buddy is just so adorable & goofy, he makes me laugh so much. He was sniffing at something under the Jasmine bush yesterday & a tendril of Jasmine must have prodded him - he jumped back & then barked at the bush! LOL He's so silly.
I took him up the park this morning & he was fascinated by the tennis (he loves a tennis ball to play with) & one of the men gave him a ball which he proudly carried the entire way home. *meep* Then when we got back he went to his water bowl & dropped the ball in there! 'Oh, Buddy!'. *g*
I just know he's going to have lots of lovely adventures. Mind, he had one before we even left the street - we'd stopped to say hello to a neighbour (Buddy loved all the fuss he was getting ) & then Leo the cat from across the road came strolling along. Buddy managed to slip his Halti & chased Leo who hid under a car (though Leo didn't exactly run quickly - he's such a gorgeous little show-off!) I called Buddy & he did come back so that was okay but I now know the answer to 'does he like cats?'!
My Mom & Mr B's folks loved him & he was great with them (though he's very focussed on me & Mr B at the moment, of course.) My Mom had found a new home card that totally fit Buddy coming to live with us & sent it to him (along with a big red rubber bone that he loves.) Mr B's folks had bought him a tug tyre that he chewed up in no time! (Though he enjoyed every minute of it! LOL) He does seem to like squeakies & rubber chew toys & balls more so than the cuddly toys that Rask preferred (though he does play with them too.)
He's lying by my side as I type this (he doesn't really let me out of his sight at the mo). I'm just totally falling in love with him.
Here are a few more pics of Buddy Walton - Adventurer & All Round Silly Boy. *g*

He's still too timid to go down into the lower part of the garden by himself but he's clearly fascinated by it!

Date: 11 May 2008 10:21 pm (UTC)I'm slightly envious because after more than thirty years of always having dogs - two or three at a time sometimes - we lost our last dog about a year ago but my partner's ill health precludes having another one at the moment. Most of our dogs came to us from previous homes and they all thrived with us and we remember them all fondly and often talk about the great times we all had together. They enriched our lives and since they all lived to a good age and seemed very happy we think we were good for them too, each one was different, clever, funny, damned awkward etc. but we loved them all.
So all my love to you and Buddy for a good life together and fond memories of Rask.
