On Sunday, we ran the Oxford Half Marathon.
Mr B had already done the Chester Marathon the week before, so he just ran along with me & acted as a pacer as I wanted to try & do sub 2:15.  (My half marathon PB is 2:05:55, but that was before my knee op & then abdom surgery last year.)
I'm absolutely thrilled to report that I did it!  2:14:44! \o/ (No doubt in part due to Mr B's excellent motivation & Yoda impressions along the way - “Do or do not... there is no try.”!!! LOL)

It was a very nice course - & absolutely lovely in places, like running around Christ Church Meadow & along the river.  The race was started by running legend, Sir Roger Bannister & the course actually took us past the Iffley Road Track where he broke the 4-minute mile in 1954.  Brilliant!

There were various bands & musical acts around the course & some good crowd support, too.  That, along with perfect running conditions, made for a great race.

We ran to support the Labrador Rescue where we got Buddy from & so far we're over a third of the way to our target of enough money to help find one dog a forever home.  ♥

I know times are tough & completely understand, but our fundraising page is here if anyone does have a Pound to spare. Thank you. ♥
*hugs to all*

I may have got mildly addicted to Swiss Miss Milk Chocolate cocoa while on holiday in the US, & today I used the last of the sachets that I brought home with me.
*sob*
After checking online, I found a couple of websites in the UK that stock it but... for the price they want for a 10 sachet box, I could buy a 50 sachet box at Walmart!

Aaagh!  Next year, I obviously need to take one suitcase purely for stocking up on creamy, chocolately, cocoa-y goodness. *g*
