For country, for honour, forever...
1 Oct 2012 11:50 amWe had a lovely day down in London on Saturday & managed to get last minute tickets for Chariots of Fire at the Gielgud.
What an amazing show! They'd built the stage partly in the round with a few rows of seats actually on the stage like

a sporting stadium - & our seats were right on the front row of that! It was brilliant - we were practically IN the production. :)
They'd made a running track on the stage (on a circular turntable) & it also extended out into the stalls. It was incredible. And when the Vangelis music started, it just made the hairs on the back of your neck stand up! I can really rec seeing it (the run has now been extended again until Feb).
There's a little bit in this publicity vid that shows the stage layout (at about 1 min 20s), & you can see the people in the stadium seating on stage which is just where we were. :)
Oh, & Simon Williams was in it (I loved him in Upstairs, Downstairs when I was a kid.) So that was another bonus. *g*
