Mr B & I ran the Cardiff Half Marathon yesterday in aid of Cancer Research.
It was my first race back since my knee surgery last year & my abdominal surgery in May, & I was pretty pleased with how it went.
Mr B ran with me for support, & my plan was to just enjoy it & not to worry about aiming for a time. So, we did just that & had a lot of fun. :)
The course was lovely. It started & finished by the Millennium Centre in Cardiff Bay (the 'home' of the Torchwood Hub! There was even a TARDIS in the runner's village!\o/) & looped around the city & out to cross the Cardiff Barrage.
It was unseasonably warm & sunny, but not too warm - really nice running weather, especially with the breeze as we ran along by the sea.
So, a really great experience & a very nice weekend away. \o/
Here's my glamorous assistant modelling* my medal. *g*

*This was about the only shot I managed to get that wasn't blurred or had Bud rolling around or just trying to chew the ribbon. LOL
