Just perusing DHew's Wikipedia listing (as you do), & I was surprised to see that Emmett in Boa vs Python is listed as Dr. Steven Emmett.
I've never heard/seen a first name listed for this character & can't remember him being referred to as anything but Emmett in the film.
Is it just me?
