Peek-a-Bud!
9 Jul 2008 12:37 pmNo water-related adventures today - unless you count the rain!
I've just got back from a lovely long (though very wet!) walk round the woods with the Budster. He had a fab time charging around, chasing squirrels & generally putting the world to rights.
Oh, but he did the funniest thing. I was walking along & he was ranging off deeper into the woods but keeping me in sight & occasionally I'd call him if I couldn't see him & he'd come charging up behind me. But I was calling him this one time & was looking over my shoulder & couldn't see him. Then I looked ahead & about 10 feet in front of me was this cheeky little face peering out from behind a tree! LOL It was just like he was hiding & waiting to jump out on me! *ggg*
He was really muddy & wet when we got back (so was I!) so I hustled him straight through into the kitchen & closed the baby gate (the Buddy Gate!) so I could dry him without him charging around everywhere. So he just shook himself all over the kitchen instead - at least it wasn't the leather in the dining room & lounge. *g*
We've had to get a baby gate (the kitchen doesn't have a door - just an open archway) as there have been a couple of unfortunate incidents of food going missing!
*Bud looks completely innocent & gives extra big eyes*
So now if I'm defrosting stuff out on the counter I close the gate so a certain someone can't get in & help himself! Rask never took food & so we weren't expecting this but I know a lot of dogs do (one of my cousins had a Boxer called Janey who ate the turkey on Christmas morning!!)
