Congratulations to all the winners & nominees in the [livejournal.com profile] mome_awards. Well done to all!
Green Glass didn't win. I wasn't exactly surprised when I saw that it was up against The Archer & other wonderful stories. I can't say I'm not disappointed but there you go. *sigh*
A big thank you to [livejournal.com profile] foxrafer for all her incredible hard work in organising these awards - she's amazing.

I've just signed up for this year's Race for Life raising money for Cancer Research UK (a cause very close to my heart, as you know).
I love this race as it's only 5K (3.1 miles) & is such fun. It's about 5 weeks after my spring marathon & so it'll be a nice easy run as I'm working my mileage back up.

Mr B & I did 9 miles for our 'long' run of the week yesterday. We're gradually building the mileage up, though once we're beyond 10 miles, we can increase more quickly. It was a nice sunny day (unseasonably warm) & we ran out into the counryside along the towpath. It was lovely to see the birds & gorgeous scenery & the narrowboats going past. There was a narrowboat called 'Riddles in the dark' with a dragon painted on it - it was so cool!

~

I want to carry on with some writing today. Maybe I can write myself into a more positive frame of mind about it. Check! Yay for writing. *g*
