bluespirit: (Keep on running)
I ran the Stafford Half Marathon (13.1 miles) today & am really thrilled with my time of just under 2 hours & 6 mins. This is over 8 minutes faster than my personal best! (I'd've actually been even faster but I had to stop for a quick loo break - didn't want to do a 'Paula Radcliffe' at the side of the road. *g*)

I was running in memory of my Dad & raising money for Cancer Research UK - thank you to everyone who's sponsored me!
*hugs*
This race is actually part of my build up for the full marathon I'm running next month - just 5 weeks to go!

For the first time, I had my name printed on my running shirt & it was so great - loads of people cheered me on & it was such a morale booster. :-)

I'm afraid that I don't have the usual pics of Rascal modelling my finisher's medal as our camera packed up just after I crossed the finish line. :-( My Mom did take some but it's not a digital camera so we'll have to wait for the film to be finished & developed. Needless to say, Rascal looked wonderful in the medal. *g*

Oh, & while I was running, Mr B bought me the SGA Yearbook! Yay! Can't wait to read it. I love the way that everything comes back to Atlantis. ♥
