bluespirit: (SGA Loving Rodney)
It was really (I mean *really*) cold when I went for my run this morning. I had to keep to the sunny bits where the heavy frost had already melted or I'd've probably been skating. Still, it was nice to be outside in the sunshine listening to 'Tao of Rodney' on my iPod. *g*
I'm really pleased with how my training is going for the Half Marathon in March. I haven't been running longer distances for a while - just sticking to 10K sort of lengths & it feels so good to really stretch it out. I love that feeling after a long run when I'm not sore exactly but can feel that I've worked.
Mr B is training with me on my long Sunday runs which means I can venture out into the countryside (which is a little too lonely for me to run by myself). Last Sunday we did a very pleasant 9 miles on a crisp but bright morning through our local fields & farmyards. :-)
I'm hoping to use the Half as stepping stone to running a full marathon in April. That's my plan, anyway. *g*

We watched 'Cry Wolf' the other night. I'd set TV Drive to record it a while back & had completely forgotten that Jared was in it!
Does it make me a bad pervy old woman that I found him so incredibly hot in that school uniform? *guh*
I wonder if someone has written a Dean/Sam where Sam has to go undercover in a haunted/creepy/zombified/whatever school & so wears that uniform? Come on, it's not just me, is it? *g*

I'm reading the lovely kid!fic universe, Paradigm Shift, that [livejournal.com profile] x_sleeptodream is writing at the moment. I'm not normally fussed one way or the other for kid!fic (I mean where the guys have kids - not where the guys are turned into kids) but for some reason John&Rodney just seem to lend themselves to this kind of story (for me anyway). I mean, you wouldn't think so at first with Rodney & his dislike of kids. But there are so many really lovely stories out there that really make it work, like the beautiful The Farm in Iowa series & Raising Madison, to name a couple off the top of my head.
*dreamy sigh*
They make me very happy. ♥
