What a sweet thing to do - I'm so touched & it cheered me up no end. ♥
It's weird 'cus I've been feeling a bit distanced from lj (& fandom) lately. I think I'm in some kind of transition phase - folk on my flist who were happy to drop by & chat about Lotrips don't come round anymore & I don't know so many people (or they don't know me *g*) in SGA & so I feel out of synch with fandom...like I don't have a place anymore. I don't like the feeling as I always try to be an active part of fandom - I write, make manips or icons or whatever - & I don't really feel a part of things at the moment. Yeah, I need to get off my arse & finish those McShep stories & start contributing more, don't I? Just one dogtag!kink fic & a possessive!John manip completed so far.
Though I've just received the fic that I've been asked to illustrate for 'Military/Intelligence' (McShep zine) & so I can get cracking on that. Though not until I've finished the graphic for xanthelj's new BDSM McShep epic which I'm currently betaing - *guh* it's the most fabulous, erotic fic! *melts*

And I feel a little out of things as this is the first time in 6 (or 7?) years that I won't be going to Escapade - I'm really going to miss seeing everyone. It was my decision not to attend this year but, of course, now it's almost here I'm wibbling a bit. (g) I have sent a few pieces for the art show though - just a McShep & some Due South & other stuff. Hopefully they'll enjoy themselves on my behalf. :-)

Hmmm...& after all this navel-gazing I get notification that I have a couple of stories nominated in the slashy_oscars. *beams*
I have to say that I am a bit shocked, as I was sure that I'd pretty much been forgotten in Lotrips now. So thank you very, very much to whoever nominated me. It really does mean so much.
