Friending policy

I don't really have what you might call a friending policy - that sounds like something that should be typed up & then signed in triplicate or something! ;-)
When I started up this lj I didn't know what to expect & so just went along taking things as they came.
But now I seem to have a really big friends list (with a few people on it who don't even seem to talk to me! LOL) & things are getting a little bit out of hand. (g)
I think I need to to some downsizing or whatever the phrase is.
It's nothing personal - really just if we've never chatted or exchanged comments, or it's an unused lj or in a language I don't understand (g), or whatever.
And this is a good time for anyone who now thinks that friending me was a really bad idea (g) - defriend if you want. I know I don't have as much LotR stuff to post right now & if there's nothing to interest you here then fair enough. :-)

Also, if anyone is really just here for my fic & not all of the rest of my ramblings, then please friend my fic journal if you'd prefer: starshinedreams
