I'm just popping by to report on today's 10K in aid of Cancer Research UK, as a few people have sent their good wishes & maybe interested.
It was a tough course - one lap around the grounds of Weston Park - with much of it cross-country on muddy, slippy fields. There was one fairly steep incline & then a few stretches on muddy tracks. Luckily the scenery was lovely - the English countryside on an Autumn day, with a little bit of sun finally breaking through towards the end of the race.
I completed the 10K (6.1 miles) in 59 mins & 1 sec. I was really pleased with this time, especially as the going was quite hard in places.
There were over a thousand participants & I came in 315th.
I had Mr. Bluespirit, my folks & the wonderful
pirate_hussies cheering me on, for which I'm very grateful & I'll hopefully raise a decent amount for the charity.
Rascal is now happily wearing my medal - as usual. ♥
