Fanfic review day
7 Aug 2005 04:45 pmThis is all over my flist. :-)
I'm sure that anyone who's ever posted fanfiction to Livejournal will know just how great it feels to read comments from other users (and how depressing it can be if no one comments). I also know that I don't review other people's fanfiction half as much as I really ought to. So to make up for that, on Sunday I'm going to try and post a review for every piece of fanfiction I read on Livejournal (and I plan to read a lot). Why not do the same, and let other writers know their efforts are worth it?
Writers, why not take the opportunity to re-post a story you think slipped under people's radars the first time around?
Copy and paste to your own journal if you intend to take part.
Well, I'm in the process of archiving all of my fic over in my fic journal anyway but thought I'd join in with this noble sentiment.
Feedback is good.
It takes a lot of effort, love & creativity to write something & then a certain amount of bravery to actually post it.
So a little recognition is always nice, even a quick 'hey, I enjoyed that'. :-)
As for re-posting one of my own stories, I don't really know.
I mean all of my fic is available in my memories if people want a look but if I had to single out one for today then I think it would be Scattered Hearts.
Scattered Hearts was the first long VigOrli that I wrote & it was one of the best writing experiences of my life. The words seemed to literally flow onto the page & it was just so much fun. I enjoyed weaving bits of Hidalgo in with my own narrative plus I got to write my favourite thing of all time - virgin!Orli! Not only virgin but 'completely & utterly untouched' Orli...
*guh*
What can I say? It works for me! ;-)
So, if you haven't read it or fancy another look then here it is:~
