Phew - what a busy weekend!
I had fun at Nattercon & it was great to catch up with all the 'Ladies of the Lake' again.
See you next year, girls!

I arrived home yesterday afternoon & we went to see Van Helsing last night. (Going to the pictures seems to be getting a regular Sunday night thing - we've been for the last 4 consecutive Sundays; Hidalgo, Kill Bill Vol. 2, The Calcium Kid & now Van Helsing.

Some spoilers here. )

And as if all that wasn't enough I'm now off to the noon showing of The Calcium Kid. When I found out it was playing for a second week I thought it was definitely a sign that I see it again (g).
Plus I really love the way Orlando plays Jimmy - he's just too cute! ::heart::

Just got back from seeing The Calcium Kid for the second time & from having a very surreal viewing experience.
I went to the 11.55am showing & took my seat at 11.50am. (Well I had my pick of seats as I was the only person there.) So I sat a while, jotted down a couple of Green Glass ideas in my journal, etc. By then it was 12.05pm & the screen was still blank - no ads, trailers - nothing. The lights were still up & I was still on my own, in the best seat in the house!
So I went out to the foyer & double checked with the attendant that I was in the right screen - cus there are 14 of 'em!
Yes, I was in the correct screen, so she said she'd ring the booth & get them to start the show.
So I had the whole cinema to myself, my choice of seat & they started the show on my say-so! Now that's what I call four quid well-spent! LOL

Anyway, I enjoyed Orlando's performance even more this time around. He's such a joy to watch - I love the way he uses not only his voice but his face & body in his acting. The scene with his Dad was again one of my favourites.
And just to be shallow - that boy looks so good when he walks away from camera with his hands in his pockets. Nice bum, Orli! (ggg)

I really can't wait for this to come out on dvd. ::smiles::

To quote Jimmy quoting his dad: 'Nothing's out of reach if you've got long arms.'

Priceless!!! LOL ::wink::

Note: My subject header is also a Clive Connelly original (that's Jimmy's dad!)
