Golden syrup is a honey-coloured treacle. Very runny & very sweet.

Rich tea biscuits are a type of cookie - they're quite plain & not super sweet. They have a good texture which is perfect for crushing & using as a traybake base. They're also perfect for dunking in tea as they don't fall to pieces straight away. *g*
