Award noms!

Thank you so much to whoever nominated my fic & art!

That is so, so kind. ♥
I could do with a little advice though.
I have some fic nominated in the same categories, & the awards folk have suggested that in a case like that it may be wise to only submit one story per cat (to avoid them 'competing' against each other.)
I can see what the mods mean, but I feel a little sad that stories that have been nominated won't get recognised (& I feel bad for whoever nominated them). If you get what I mean?
I suppose it comes down to how much I'm actually invested in trying to win. *g*
I could leave all the stories as they are & risk 'splitting my vote' or try & choose just one. I don't know...
Here are my 'problem' categories. *g*
Category: SGA Slash Fic > Sheppard/McKay > Romance
+ Mile Marker Thirty-Six
+ Beach House (series)
Category: SGA Slash Fic > Sheppard/McKay > Alternate Universe
+ Solitary Man
+ Time and tide ~ a love story with interruptions for murder
If I do just ask for one story to be submitted in each category, what do I go for?
I suppose that for 'Romance' I'd go for 'Mile Marker Thirty-Six'. Not because I don't love my little 'Beach house' universe, but MM36 is perhaps more of 'real' story (with a beginning, middle & end!) & not a collection of snippets? (I don't know! Saying that makes me feel bad for the Beach House fic. I love you, I do! *g*)
MM36 was written for a McShep happy!fic fest, & it is most definitely a romance! (Though so is the 'Beach house', so that doesn't really help!)
Then there's the 'Alternate Universe' category. Both of my Big Bang stories are in here! I poured blood, sweat & tears into those stories! I love them both, & it's hard to try & choose. Looking at the responses the stories got from other people, I'd have to say that 'Solitary man' seems the more popular, & so I suppose I could just ask for that one to be included.

I have always felt that people weren't too keen on 'Time & Tide', but I actually think that it's the best story I've written. :(
I don't know. I suppose I just need to decide whether to let them ride or to try & choose (& give myself a slightly better chance of winning?) LOL I won't win anyway, so I don't why I'm wibbling so much!
Anyway, whatever happens - I'm really touched by the nominations.
I struggle a lot with feelings that my work just isn't that good or popular (which I know aren't the same thing but I have many inadequacies & am just generalising here to save everyone!) So, it's really lovely to think that someone has enjoyed one of my stories or graphics enough to take the time to do this.
