Now they're coming home for Christmas...

How do you embed a YouTube in an entry? I saw a vid on someone's non-LJ blog that I'd like to post on my journal.

If you're using LJ's posting interface, just click on the the little arrow button next to the 'insert image' picture. That's the 'insert media' command. A pop up opens & you paste the embed code (that you got from youtube) into there.
It's really easy. :)

I tried that and all I got was the url not the vid.

Underneath the vid at youtube there's a 'share' button.
Press that & then select 'embed'. A box will appear with the html code you need. Just copy & paste that into your lj post. :)

This didn't work either. But it seems to be LJ's error not mine. I just posted with a link instead of with the video embedded in my post. At least the link works! wink!
