+ Not only has xanthelj launched a fabulous & gorgeous new website for all her stories, but she's christened it with a new fic! Check the site out here.
(Um, I made the banners - there are several for different fandoms, so keep refreshing or clicking to new pages to see them all - but that's not why it's gorgeous! *g*)
The new fic is in the Suits fandom; not a show I watch but, knowing Xanthe, the story will be amazing!

+ sgamadison (under her alter ego of Sarah Madison akasarahmadison) has written a really excellent vampire short story called 'Bite the Dust' for this writing contest, & it's made it through to the second round. \o/
However, it's up against some tough competition, so if you fancy a great, FREE read then do please check it out & vote (Round 2 Pair 7: Bite the Dust by Sarah Madison).

I signed up. This is my first SGA exchange (except for a three person Joe/David mini-exchange a few years ago), so I hope I won't stress too much about what my recipients would like. And I hope I can do some art they'll enjoy. *is slightly nervous*

Thanks for the signal boost! I read the competition tonight; I can see why it is kicking my a** right now. I don't stand a chance of surviving this round, but every vote helps my defeat look less like a shut-out, you know? I really appreciate your support :-)

I agree, Xanthe's new site is great and I loved your banners. I liked how you got all the pairings with similar effects, tones, saturation levels - they give a holistic cohesion to the whole site.

I am sure the sign-ups will pick up soon. I guess everyone still needs to get through Samhain!

Sadly, I won't be able to participate in the art santas. I have completely lost confidence in doing graphic art - partly because it's been so long since I made anything (2 years!) and I use an Apple with just the touchpad - I need to get a mouse for more exact work. I love that you are doing both comms! Last year's was so well run!
