Sweet memories

I've had comments for a couple of Lotrips stories in the last day. It's the first time in ages (years really) & it's so lovely to think that people are still enjoying those stories.
I have to admit that I did actually have to check on the one fic - Lovelight - to see that it was the one that I thought it was! *g* Luckily the other was Green Glass, & I'll never forget that! ♥

It's so nice that people take the time to drop a line - even when a story has been posted ages ago. I'm so grateful.

Okay - back to my SGA Big Bang! The epilogue is in sight! *g*

Look at Sean Bean! ♥ It is nice to get feedback on your old stories, but I have a problem responding to those comments, for some reason. *is guilty*

I'm always just surprised when I go & look. Half the time I can't remember writing it! LOL

That is so nice! And well deserved. It shouldn't matter, should it though, how long ago something was written? If it touches the reader in some way, thoughtful people will say something.

WhooHoo! You're near the very end. You've made leaps and strides! Well done!

Yes, I know you're right, L - but often stories seem to be forgotten once the initial hoop-la of posting has passed. I suppose that does make it all the nicer when someone finds & enjoys one so much later. :-)

Thank you! I'm very excited about my BB & how it's flowing. I've been looking forward to writing the epilogue - all the angst is over & it's a nice, happy bit. *g*

I'm always touched when someone responds to an old story--but I also have to control this urge to point out all the reasons why the story is terribly flawed and why they shouldn't like it and what I would have done differently if I were writing it today...I've had to learn to sit on my hands and just say 'thank you!'

:-)

Omg! That's exactly what I was like. I must admit I had a skim through Lovelight & it is rather purple prose in places!
*blushes*
I'm just having to content myself with the knowledge that I think my writing has improved quite a bit over the last couple of years (& hopefully I'm not just delusional! *g*)

Writing is a muscle that needs to be exercised just like anything else. I think it is fair to say that every one of us who's been at this a while has improved since those early days, even the greats and the BNF. :-)

(But I *have* gone back and removed a few *dreadful* stories from old archives, hoping no one will remember their tawdry little existence)

And no, you are *not* delusional!

LOL I've done that too - in fact I've tried to do a scorched earth approach to my Highlander fic where possible! LOL

It does make me happy to think that people are still enjoying it. ♥

Aw, Green Glass! It makes me smile every time I think about it. ♥

I think people rec Green Glass pretty regularly, and rightfully so. I'm so glad to hear that people are commenting, too, though when they read it (again or for the first time). That's lovely.

Thank you!
*hugs*
It's lovely to think that people are still discovering it after all this time (or rereading it!)

Green Glass! I think that's why I friended you initially. Such a lovely story :-) Must go back and re-read it...
