I don't know if it's going to be in cinemas or just go to dvd.  I really hope it gets a theatrical release - I want to see Joe on the big screen! :)

Unfortunately, it looks like it's straight to DVD (thanks to the all-Joe-knowing Berryann for the info. *g*) So, I've gone ahead & pre-ordered it - it's a late August release date. At least, we don't have too much longer to wait. :)

I have no idea if they hoped for the theatrical release or not. Maybe that's why they'd taken it to Cannes in the first place? Or maybe it was all about promoting the DVD?

I did ask Joe about it in April but then he had no idea about its release (cinema or DVD only) still he was quite pleased with the finished product, so to say. "I was doing some voice over last week and the whole thing came out to be pretty good! Much better than I’d expected."

But the reviews I read weren't the best ones... well, Joe's character did get good reviews but that's about it.... the critics didn't seem to like the whole film at all. Not that we could have expected anything REALLY Oscar-like from JCVD anyway.... :)

Isn't that the same shirt he's wearing in your icon? I swear, the man brings his own wardrobe with him. In the action shots posted a while back (with the gun), those are his own boots he's wearing - same as the ones he wore at FedCon, I think. Joe loves his comfort, and I kind of love that about him.

Also... *squishes you* It's so good to hear from you. I was just thinking about you the other day. Glad things are starting to be on the upswing for you, hon. You are always missed!

I already pre-ordered my DVD from Amazon so I don't know if it will be a theater release. Trailer is cool too bad it's not available for download. They only show Van D's name for the credit which sucks wide!

No, straight to DVD. VanD doesn't get stuff like that (movie releases) these days I think. Most stuff he does is straight to DVD. Wish Joe would get back to doing TV because he needs more exposure.
