Bits & pieces incl. the unbearable cuteness of JF
I'm ho-ome! *g*
We had a lovely few days down in London & I think the break did us both good after the stress of the last few months.
We mooched around Greenwich & I have to say that taking my own personal physicist to the Royal Observatory was a really good idea as I got everything explained wonderfully! *g* It was a gloriously sunny day & the stroll through Greenwich park up to the observatory was stunning. We also had a fabulous view in the camera obscura.
We walked the tunnel under the Thames which was very cool in a weird way, caught a couple of shows - 'Seven Brides for Seven Brothers' 'cus I've always loved the Howard Keel film & a hilarious version of John Buchan's' 'The 39 Steps'.
Also popped into the Tate Modern to see the new 'Slides' thing in the turbine room, did a Da Vinci Code walk around Temple & Westminster & hung out in the National Gallery for a while. All in all, a really lovely little holiday - plus we stayed at a different hotel (Royal Lancaster) which turned out to be very nice & we ate breakfast overlooking Hyde Park each morning.
The Stargate Fan Awards have been announced. Congratulations to
xanthelj for winning three awards - all fabulously well deserved - one each for Back from the Well, Queen & Doctor's Orders. Huzzah!!!
Well done to all the winners & to everyone who took part & a big thank you to the organisers for what must have been a huge task.
I saw the latest little film clip from DH's 'A Dog's Breakfast' today - how cute is that!!!! I love him & Mars so much. Bless! I was reading DH's posts about Halloween over at dGeek & it's so sweet that Mars has a girlfriend - Lucy, who is Kavan Smith's dog!!!! *g*
And apropros of nothing really except I've just seen him on my screensaver... how incredibly cute is babyfaced!JF in 'Family Album'? I know it's a cheesy Danielle Steele thing but I love him in it soooo much & have watched the dvd an embarrassing number of times. Though, in my defence, I only skim through & watch the JF bits - I do have standards! LOL
Mmmm, looking up from under his lashes like that... *meep*
some Joe!teeth for
coreopsis... *g*
I may just collapse from floppyhaired!Joe love...
And his character is gay too (& being gay with Joel Gretsch!) ... *dreamy sigh*
I'm sorry I can't remember who made these lovely caps but I'll credit as soon as anyone can let me know.

Yes, it really was a lovely few days & we packed so much in but still had a chance to just be together & relax too.
Mmmm...young&floppyhaired!Joe is rather adorable, isn't he? I think this was his first role & it's a good one too, even if it is in a 'Hallmark Channel' kind of epic. *g*

Yeah, I think 'Family Album' is a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine - except I'm not even feeling guilty. I'm going to stand up & own it - "yes, I love watching Joe in 'Family Album'!" LOL
I'm so pleased that you did so well in the awards - you really do deserve them!

Sounds like you had a wonderful break . . . Greenwich is so lovely and I can't get enough of the museum and observatory there; lucky you!!
Thanks for the wonderful pictures, too!

It was the first time we'd been to the observatory & we loved it. We didn't get time to do the maritime museum (though we did go on board the Cutty Sark) so we'll definitely be spending more time there.
