Hello 2016!
Hi all & a very happy New Year!
*hugs*
I know that I'm rather late with the New Year greetings, but things have been so busy here.
We're still in the same position house-wise as before - we've accepted an offer on our house but the lady is still to sell her own. That means that we're still on the market & so are having other people come around for viewings. We had 5 over the weekend & already there are 2 more booked in for tomorrow. I just find having people coming to see the house a bit stressful. Plus, I'm rather OCD & the levels of cleaning are getting astronomical! We did actually have one couple comment that they'd never seen such a clean house in their lives!
We still haven't found the right property to move to. The one that we did make an offer on (which was accepted) we then lost because someone else came along & they were all ready to go as they were sold. So, we're keeping on looking.
I'm sure the right house is out there & that things will work out for the best in the end. :)
Also, I've been getting a bit bogged down inside my head & retreating from the world for a while, & I really need to tackle that. It's a warning sign & I don't want to start backsliding into depression again. I really need to interact on LJ more & start to feel some fandom joy. And with that in mind,
lantean_drift & KB are coming around tonight for pizza & a rewatch of The Abominable Bride. Awesome!
I hope that 2016 is treating everyone well so far & that you're all healthy & happy!

This whole house buying/selling and the chain is so stressful :-( I'm sorry you lost the place you really wanted. But yes, I'm sure the right place is there for you. I really hope the person buying your house sells hers soon.

I'm trying very hard just to be laid back & zen about the whole process. :)

House moving/selling/buying is notorious for being a very stressful time, and it's probably worse when there's a lot of interest and you have to keep showing people around (probably saying the same things every time! *grin*).
I know it's easy to say this, but probably don't worry about the cleaning; from the comments you've received, people are probably used to looking around homes nothing like as clean as yours! Still . . . I know you are very proud of your house.
I guess the weather and darkness at this time of year don't help much either, but hopefully come the spring you'll start to perk up a bit, especially once you manage to find a new house.
Enjoy the pizza and Sherlock!!

Sherlock & pizza were awesome, thanks - made even better by good friends & laughter.

I'm working at getting back into LJ a lot more. For serious. Discovered FB is my happiness killer, so I've taken measures to eliminate it from most of my day. And I want to write, and FB steals that time.
We've still got our place on the market, but no one looking at it. Our realtor contract is up first week of Feb, and we're going to tell him to shove it because he's done practically zip to sell the place. We'll put a For Sale sign in the yard and then I'll put FB to use and try to get it marketed that way. Gotta do something. I need to sell that place. Two mortgage payments are killing me.

Best of luck!

Happy New Year to you too hon. I hope all goes well for you this year and you get your house sold and find one that will be what you want. Sorry to hear you lost the other one that you wanted.
You should do another Lord John story...hint, hint. It would be nice to see what him and Rodney are up to these days.
