After Next Generation, I thought it was one of the best ones made. Those are the two I love first. I was of course very into the first Star Trek but these 2 shows were more for my generation and intellect than the original ST.
I totally agree. TNG has always been a favourite, but now Enterprise is right up there, too. I do love Voyager as well. I grew up watching the reruns of the original series, but, like you, found that the newer shows were more for me. :)
I found I liked both equally. I could never get into Voyager or Deep Space 9 even though I liked a lot of the characters. I did watch them though but not faithfully. : - )
I love Voyager but was a little less keen on DS9. However, we had the complete DS9 as a Xmas present & are planning a rewatch as soon as we're done with Enterprise. I think being able to watch multiple eps will definitely help us get into it more this time around. :)
Sadly, the only thing I loved about the series was the dog. I watched for a while specifically for the dog, but he really didn't get enough air time to sustain my interest.
I gave up sometime during the first season. I didn't even know it went through four seasons. You make me think I might, maybe, give it another try.
I was the same - gave up about half way through the first season when it originally aired. But as I'm watching again now, I'm loving it. The story lines are so good & there are some incredibly multi-ep arcs. I do think that it helps to have the complete series & so be able to just watch ep after ep & really immerse yourself in it. :)

I have all the original Star Trek including the cartoon version.
