Sewing!

I've had a new sewing machine as an early birthday present!  \o/
I love it - it's so smooth (& quiet) & can do 5 different styles of button hole! I know, 5! LOL

I gave it a test drive this afternoon by making myself a pair of comfy lounge pants with some cute Thor fabric that I bought on holiday in the US (what can't you find in Walmart, eh? *g*)

I've been really enjoying my sewing over the last few months.  Here are some of the bits & bobs that I've made:

A throw cushion for my friend's birthday:

A hot water bottle cover for my Mom:

A bag for me:

An iPad case for Mr B:

I got the awesome fabric from Hancocks when we were on holiday. :)

I only wish places like Jo-ann's Fabrics & Hancocks shipped to the UK!  We just don't have so many lovely fabrics to choose from here.

Btw - is anyone else having problems with their user icons?  When I answer a comment, only my default icon gets used - even when I've selected another.

I know - it's 'computerised'! I'm just waiting for it to talk back to me now. ;)
I wore my Thor pants last night while watching the telly, & they've turned out to be nice & comfy. :)

Ferdy is cute, isn't he? Mom has always loved the spectacle of hunting (the clothes, etc - not the actual hunting part) & so I had to make this for her.

Yeah, a dog bag - what was I thinking?! *g*

Oh dear - I do hope the sewing machine isn't called Skynet and made by the Cyberdyne corporation!

Or called HAL... those pod bay doors don't open by themselves you know, Dave!

I love how inspired you are! And as long as your cyber-sewing machine doesn't take over the world, only good stuff can come of this! LOL!

I think if my machine does develop AI & become autonomous, it will probably just make nice crafty things like cushions & novelty-themed bags, etc. So, hopefully, it won't crush our bleached skeletons under its button-holer foot!

You're right! It would probably just make cups of tea and sit around chatting about slash and pets with us while knocking up a quick pair of curtains!
