Writing & the madness of the Bud

I've started my sga_santa story today & am already beyond the 1,000 word minimum at the end of the first scene - I'm having a lot of fun with it. Yay!
Writing 'Mile marker' (my happyfic) seems to have reminded me that I can actually write longer, plotted stories as well as snippets, & it looks like this new fic will be a fair length too. The deadline isn't until 10th Dec & so that's good - I should have plenty of time.

Had to post this. Bud totally destroyed his bed in the office for some bizarre Budlike reason - maybe this was more comfortable? Luckily it was easy to put straight later. *g*

I'm not an intensely political person & I'm not a US citizen but the US Presidential Election really does affect the whole world.
Congratulations to Barack Obama - I'm absolutely thrilled that he's won. I also raise my hat to John McCain for his dignity & grace in defeat.
