Catching up: the squeefest, a special day plus a Rascal update

I've just had the most fabulous few days - xanthelj has been here & we've chatted, squeed, slashed, shopped, eaten cake & watched lots of lovely McShep & some very cute&adorable young!DH. All in all a most wonderful squeefest! LOL ♥

Rascal is recovering brilliantly from his surgery & has now stopped messing with the stitches so we're not putting the big collar on him. (I'm so glad - he looked so sorry for himself wearing it.) I'm checking the stiches regularly & they seem to be healing really well.
Thank you again to everyone who's been so kind sending good wishes, etc.

Running

It's three weeks until I run my Half-Marathon in aid of Dogs Trust!!!
I've had a bit of a knee problem (yes, the same knee that was trouble last year...grrr) that has interupted my training in the last couple of weeks. I think it may be related to the new running shoes that I bought. I usually always have Reeboks but was seduced into buying a pair of Nike Air Pegasus (well, *Pegasus*!! & they're red & silver... *g*) They are designed for my foot type but I've since read a few reviews from runners who've also had problems with them. *sigh* So I've gone back to my old reliable Reeboks for now & am just going to wear the Nikes for general use & not running. Hopefully this should solve the problem. *crosses fingers*
Anyway, I'm hoping that I've managed to get over it now & can get back to my full training schedule.
If anyone is interested - this is my schedule for this week. :-)

I did a nice 5 miles this morning listening to some Atlantis commentaries & my knee held up well. :-)
