A me update
I've been diagnosed with thyroid cancer & it's also spread to the lymph nodes in the right side of my neck.
Although uncommon, it is treatable & hopefully survivable.
I'm going to be having surgery to remove the thyroid & lymph nodes in a couple of weeks time (just waiting for the exact date.) After that, I may also need to have radiotherapy. The surgery will leave a big scar (starting under my ear & going around my throat) but I really don't mind - it's way better than the alternative & may even give me a swashbuckling, pirate air! *g*
Obviously, it's cancer & a nasty op, but I just feel so incredibly lucky that it's not something worse & that there is treatment.
