I was signed up as an artist for this year's [livejournal.com profile] hewliganbigbang.
Unfortunately, my author was forced to drop out & so the story (& my art) won't be posted when the challenge goes live.
I think (hope *g*) it stands well on its own though, & so thought I'd share it.

It's Brendan from Thoughtcrimes & Emmett from Boa. ♥

Just click on the teaser:

There's a new DHew interview here.

My favourite bit:~

Can you talk a bit about your character’s relationship with Colonel John Sheppard, played by Joe Flanigan?

At first it was basically oil and water. McKay said one thing and Sheppard said another – it’s just that my character took a lot longer to say it. Depending, then, on the episode, McKay was either proven right or wrong.

Eventually, however, they found this rhythm with the two of them. I don’t know if it was Joe who originally came up with the idea, but he was the one who first mentioned it to me. Joe said, “We’ve got to be more like Bob Hope and Bing Crosby in the classic movie comedies.” Here are these two guys who are total opposites – one is this suave leading man and the other one thinks he is, do you know what I mean?

Once we started doing that, it was great. I fondly remember those walks and talks on our strangely always forested planets, with McKay and Sheppard whining about something other than what was going on in the episode.

Oh, bless - the SGA cast really do like to keep in touch.

Teh Hew & David Nykl met up last week too!

It looks like LA suits DH - he looks absolutely gorgeous in this pic! Yum!

(Pic snagged from David Nykl's blog.)

Though it looks like it was taken in a parking garage! Huh? *g*

Teh Hew is very busy twittering these days - I love it. He's had coffee with Rachel! ♥

dhewlett: Rachel over for coffee...that woman is incapable of ugly!

I love that they're all staying in touch. ♥

Just found out about a new show (thanks to [livejournal.com profile] gblvr) with Richard Burgi & also Jim Beaver. Bobby! Yay! Ben Cotton's in it too. :-)

"Harper's Island" - The CBS murder mystery, starring Christoper Gorham and Harry Hamlin, sees friends and family attend a wedding on a secluded island off the coast of Seattle, only for them to begin dying one by one. The guests, each with their own motives, must find the killer - or killers - before they strike again.

~

[livejournal.com profile] vida_boheme asked for an edited version of the 'Goodbye Atlantis' vid with just The Team bits so I thought I'd share it here if anyone else wanted it.

'Goodbye Atlantis' - just the David, Joe, Jason & Rachel part

It's on my server so please just 'right-click & save'! :-)
.avi, ~3 min, ~21MB

Unfortunately it still has Joe Mallozzi droning on so the mute button may be required. *g*

~

And just because I can never watch it enough - The Hug!!!

I opened my lj this morning & the rotating banner happened to be the one I made from this cap (below). I love it so much, I've left that tab open & have had to open another to actually check my flist. *g*

Oh, John... ♥

gorgeousness ahead )

Teh Hew seems very busy with his twittering lately!

I love to hear about Mars. ♥

dhewlett: If Mars wasn't my dog I'd be making serious coin as a dog-walker...and if he was an LA sized dog I'd just get him a hamster wheel. sigh!

And also

dhewlett: Off to lunch with the Boa Vs. Python guys...could there be another creature feature on the horizon?!

Omg - that was such a bad (so bad it's good) movie but he was so sexy in it! *guh*
Maybe he & Joe can fight bad CGI creatures together? *g*

DH twitterings:~

dhewlett: Meeting Flanigan for lunch...seeing Joe always makes me wish I had more hair...in the RIGHT places...have I just made lunch weird?!

dhewlett: Full of food and questionable caffeine fueled movie ideas...Joe should open a school of cool. and I'd be that schools janitorial staff!

Heh - 'Flanigan's School of Cool'! *g*
It makes me so happy to know they're friends. (I know - it's got nothing to do with me but it just makes me happy that the two men playing my favourite guys on TV also like each other off-screen! *g*)
Also - how fabulous would it be if they made a movie together?
*dreamy sigh*

A belated 'thank you' to the kind soul who nominated some of my stuff for the SGA Kink Awards.
I have several art pieces in the 'slash - manips' section plus in the 'general - manips' section (although you know me - they're still pretty slashy! *g*), along with a few shorter length stories in various categories of the 'slash - PWP/short' writing section too.

Voting is open until April 27th.
There are some fabulous authors & artists represented, so do show your appreciation & vote for your favourite stories, etc. :-)

And not because she's kinky *g* but because it's her birthday today - waves to [livejournal.com profile] jaykayelle!!!
Hope you have a wonderful day.

I wanted to do a little word-spreading, as DH is just so awesome. *g*
You can now get a web download of 'A Dog's Breakfast'. Details here & here.

I've got the dvd on pre-order for the release in Sept *squee* & so I've decided to wait for that. I'm actually quite impressed by my patience as I'm not much of a delayed gratification kind of girl. *g* But don't think that means the film isn't brilliant, because it is. I loved it! (And seeing DH at the Q&A at the London screening too, of course *g*)
If you haven't seen it, then I can really, really recommend it.
My original squee review oh, okay squee about it is here.

It's time for us all to nominate our favourite fic, art & vids for this year's Stargate Fan Awards.

I've never written kid!fic before but I just felt the need. *g*
And no - I'm not pimping it for the awards. *g* It's Mike/Gus not McShep! ;-)

I gave blood this afternoon. Mmmm, I do love those post blood-letting Bourbon creams. ;-)
